Sobre o último ponto da declaração, o presidente Nicolás Maduro disse, em declarações exclusivas à Prensa Latina, que os membros do MPNA sentem a profunda necessidade de estratégias de comunicação e de informação que estejam arreigadas nos processos históricos e culturais dos povos, ou seja, de abrir janelas sobre a realidade dos 120 países-membros, as suas lutas e objectivos comuns.

Neste ponto, os países mostram-se bastante preocupados com a utilização da comunicação social como instrumentos de propaganda hostil contra os países em desenvolvimento, com o propósito de derrubar os seus governos, e ressaltaram a importância de criar meios de comunicação alternativos, livres, plurais e responsáveis. This week saw the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) being embarrassed with the release of confidential medical records showing how top US athletes were permitted to take banned drugs because they were given «Therapeutic Use Exemptions» by WADA.
